Zenkit Review: Is It A Simple Project Management Tool?

Are you looking for a more straightforward approach to managing projects? Do you wish you could keep your work more organized? Zenkit is one project management tool that can help you do that. In this Zenkit review, I will discuss how this tool works to make running your business smoother.

What is Zenkit?

Zenkit is a collaboration tool for individuals to organize their work. Since it launched in 2016, Zenkit is relatively young and continues to stay innovative. The idea behind it was to have a simple, very user-friendly system for anybody to use.

Some project management tools may require learning for some people. But Zenkit aims to make their device easy to pick up so that users aren’t spending too much time learning the tool.

If you’re like me, I do my best to simplify my work. Though some days I may fall short, streamlining the process should always be the goal to save more time. Zenkit aims to do that with their software tool and continues to come out with the best features.

Introducing Zenkit

Zenkit offers several products to assist individuals with their business needs. These include the following products:

  • Base
  • Projects
  • Zenforms
  • Hypernotes
  • To-Do
  • Zenchats

For the remainder of this post, I will go over the project product of what Zenkit has to offer. When it comes to managing projects, understanding how to make it easier can help in the long run.

Zenkit Project (Top Features)

Zenkit has plenty of features for its users to utilize. All of the features are meant to keep everything organized in one place and simplify everyone’s work. Though they have around 40 features, I will list some of their best ones below.

Team Tasks

This feature is an email inbox for your team. It’s one place to view anything that assigned to you and anyone you collaborate with. You can create and automatically assign tasks without losing track of your work.

Activity Tracking

It’s another way to see everything that’s going in your items, team’s work, and other collections. You can activities as they occur at the moment.

Checklists

A checklist is a neat way to track your subtasks. With a list, you can track your progress and mark things off as they’re completed.

To-do lists

You can turn on any project assigned to a to-do list and start working on your tasks. This feature allows you to mark tasks as finished and to watch them move down the list.

Zenkit review: Zenkit has simple checklists to mark off tasks when needed.

Assign tasks

A manageable feature to delegate tasks by assigning them to your team members. If there are tasks to be completed, make sure the right people are assigned to them.

Gantt chart

This chart is best used for managing any complex projects. With a Gantt chart, you can schedule and track projects on a clear timeline.

Recurring items

You can set up a recurring task so that you don’t miss an appointment or session. Any tasks that you repeat weekly or monthly are available in this feature.

Email to collection

You can email a task to Zenkit directly and assign functions via a unique email address. Also, you can create new items from your inbox.

User roles

Similar to other project management tools, this feature assigns roles to users to enhance the security of your work. Also, it’s an excellent way to boost your team’s productivity.

Multi-level subtasks

Subtasks are similar to checklists in that they include real-time items. Basically, you can make task-hierarchies at any level of detail, especially when it comes to completing a project.

Is Zenkit worth it?

Overall Rating: 4/5

Five star ratings score: This picture is the rating score for product reviews.

As mentioned earlier, Zenkit is a young collaboration tool with a lot of potentials. Although they may not be a powerhouse similar to their competitors (i.e., Trello), their commitment to innovation keeps them in the spotlight.

The fact that they have one of the most straightforward project management tools is one reason to try out the software. Especially if it’s free and great for beginners, it’s great to take advantage of simplifying your workload.

My thoughts

When I first gave Zenkit a try, it was easy to navigate and look over. What I liked the most was the checklists, as it helped identify which tasks I needed to prioritize the most.

However, the “Project” product seemed to be a little too much for me. As someone who likes to keep things simple, I didn’t take advantage of using the extra features.

Although Zenkit is a wonderful service, I know not everyone will use all of the products for their business. But if you’re someone who wants to simplify project management, Zenkit may be a great fit for your business.

Overall, I’m not the biggest fan. But I would encourage any business owner to give it a shot.

  1. Zenkit does look like a viable option. I am someone that likes to have everything organized and Zenkit looks like it’ll help me with that.

My opinion is that Zenkit should be a tool every project manager or business owner should have. Business is all about getting your priorities correct, and Zenkit looks like it will help with that.

    • Hi Michael,

Having everything organized in one place makes it easier for everyone. With project management, you need a tool that can help do exactly that.

Zenkit achieves that with the products they provide to their clients. I like how they’re more innovative, and like to look ahead into the future of work.

This tool can benefit a business owner or project manager, as it’ll make project management so much efficient to do. You and I agree that Zenkit aims to achieve that objective.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts- they’re greatly appreciated.

  2. Staying organised when having a business is very important and something that many people find to be a challenge. To have a tool like Zenkit that can help project managers stay organised is great.

Being able to assign tasks to different team members, and all the team members being able to access the tool, makes it so much easier to manage a project.

We are currently using Asana for project management within our team, but I will have a closer look to see if Zenkit could be beneficial for our needs.

    • Hi,

Not all project managers are able to stay on top of tasks, especially with having a lot of responsibilities. When there are multiple things that need your attention, you can end up being all over the place.

What I like about Zenkit is the ability to assign tasks easily. There are other tools that can do that, but Zenkit goes the extra mile to make it simpler.

I recommend giving Zenkit a look, especially if you’re looking for an alternative. Or, if you want to try something new from what you have now.

Whatever fits your business needs, Zenkit might be the best solution to accomplish that.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts- they’re very much appreciated.
