Time Doctor- Better By The Second

Top Features

Online timesheets & payroll

Time Doctor lets you create simple timesheets that your employees can fill out. The timesheets can be easily reviewed and approved, regardless of whether they are paid hourly or by salary.

Their payroll service is fully customizable, and there are no additional costs. You can use any payment method, such as PayPal, Payoneer, and Transferwire.

Screenshots

These are becoming more common in time management software. In Time Doctor, screenshots of employee monitors can be taken at any time you specify (or can be turned off).

You can monitor what your team is doing, how they’re spending their time, and identify time wasters. It’s a great way to look at time distractions and figure out ways to improve efficiency.

Time doctor review: Screenshots can be very helpful, while not being intrusive for time tracking.

Screenshots are only taken when employees indicate they’re doing it to eliminate privacy concerns. Unlike with other time management software, it helps to know that employees are tracked by their employers for time management purposes.

Some people may be concerned about their employers micromanaging them. So Time Doctor is designed to use screenshots for only time-tracking purposes.

Clients feature

You can give clients access to Time Doctor at no extra cost. Client access can be white-labeled with your branding and appear on your company’s domain. With access, clients will only see data about the work you’ve done for them instead of all of the work done in your company.

Accountability reports

Time Doctor provides detailed reports about application usage, websites, tasks, and client breakdowns. These insights can help you identify productivity weaknesses and areas to make improvements.

Not only will employers get daily and weekly reports, but employees will get access to reports as well. Employees can quickly identify time wasters and ways to improve time management by viewing their time stats.

Web & app usage

This feature allows you to see programs/apps on an employee’s account. It also shows how much time is spent on specific websites. So if someone is spending too much time on social media, or other distracting websites, you’ll be able to see that.

Time use alerts

If an employee’s account is sitting on a non-work website for too long, they’ll receive a pop-up alert. The same rules apply to other sites and apps. For instance, a visit to Facebook or Twitter (after some time) will prompt a pop-up alert, asking, “Are you still working?”

Time doctor review: A pop-up will show up while you're on a distracting websites, such as Facebook or Youtube.

Track breaks

Similar to other time management software, there is an option to track breaks and time spent away from your computer/workstation.

Who is Time Doctor for? What are the savings benefits?

Time Doctor is best suited for individuals and teams between 20-500 employees. On average, Time Doctor users increase their productivity by 22%, and employers can save up to around $37,000 a year in lost time.

It’s especially useful for those who work from home and manage remote teams. Either way, it’s excellent for individuals who want to make the most out of these options.

Pricing

Time Doctor provides reasonable pricing for their time tracking software. They offer users a free trial to try out the software.

Is Time Doctor worth it?

Overall Rating: 4.8/5

Five star ratings score: This picture is the rating score for product reviews.

Time Doctor is an easy-to-use time-tracking platform. Although it may not be the biggest player right now, it provides basic features that any user would expect.

Based on the statistics mentioned earlier, users are more productive than ever before. Knowing that the Time Doctor can provide accurate and updated information is great.

My thoughts

Time Doctor’s free trial period allowed me to try it out for myself. Navigating and using its features was simple, similar to another time tracking tool I’ve used in the past.

Despite not using it personally, I found it useful for tracking real numbers and statistics. That can be useful when it comes to calculating productivity and predicting future performance.

As a time tracking tool, it’s very simple and can be used by any business. People who give it a try will benefit greatly from the features it provides.

Final Words

If you’re interested in trying out Time Doctor, you can take advantage of the free 14-day trial to get a feel for the software. The customer support is very helpful, and learning these features isn’t difficult.

Therefore, if you need assistance, you can contact their support team. Start tracking your team’s productive time today if you’re committed to making the most of your time.

  1. This is a great review about Time Doctor but I would not like to use it as a team. And with the screenshot function, it feels like one is being monitored.

To me, Time Doctor should be used personally to achieve your individual goal and should not be imposed on team members.

There is no doubt Time Doctor could be a great tool in managing time. But it may lead to eye service among team members which may also affect productivity at the end of the day.

    • Hi Bethel,

There are legitimate concerns about monitoring time other than for work purposes. The idea of surveillance or micromanaging people’s time are concerning, but does not always apply to time trackers.

With that, you’re not the only one who feels that way. However, other people may see Time Doctor as a great solution for time tracking.

If it’s used for work purposes (i.e. measuring productivity), then that’s a good reason to use this time tracker. But as you mentioned, not everyone will be on board with it.

I appreciate you bringing up those concerns. It has it’s pros and cons, but it should be used accordingly.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts- they’re greatly appreciated.
