Should I Switch To Premium At Wealthy Affiliate? Read First

When I switched to a premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate, it was a no-brainer. But Eric, that’s what you think. So should I switch to premium at Wealthy Affiliate?

I believe you should make the switch because you get more than basic training: You get website hosting, a built-in keyword research tool, and more help from a large community of online entrepreneurs.

In less than five days, I was convinced upgrading to a WA premium membership was the BEST decision to grow my business.

It’s possible you might think the same way when you go through the first lessons of the training provided.

What WA provides is much more cost-effective than other platforms.

In this post, I will briefly go over a recap of lesson five of the online entrepreneurship certification (OEC). If you’ve gone through the previous lessons, you should have a better understanding by now.

  2. Next Up In OEC: Levels 2-5
  3. Why Upgrade To Premium?
Should I switch to premium at Wealthy Affiliate? This post will discuss whether going to premium at Wealthy Affiliate is worth it.

What’s covered in level one of online entrepreneur certification?

In the first four lessons, some of the materials covered include the following:

  • Understanding the process of making money online
  • Setting up short-term and long-term goals for your business
  • Choosing a niche
  • Setting up and naming your website with SiteRubix
  • Interacting with other members of the community (receiving timely help)

If you went through the lessons, you accomplished a lot; however, there’s more that you can do to grow your business to the next level.

Imagine what you can accomplish moving forward.

Next up in OEC

After level one, the next course of action is moving forward to level 2. That’s where you’ll need to upgrade to at least a premium membership.

In level 2 of OEC, there are more lessons on website building and keyword research. More importantly, you’ll learn how to get traffic to your website.

These lessons go over in detail how you’ll get organic (free) traffic to your website. That is done through a process called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

The basics of SEO will be covered in the training, and it’s an excellent skill to learn and master over time.

Should I switch to premium at Wealthy Affiliate?

Switching to a premium member at Wealthy Affiliate is a wise choice for your online business. The platform not only offers basic training in building niche websites, but you cost-effectively get much more.

Unlike other platforms, things such as website hosting, a keyword research tool, and community support (including one-on-one expert help) are what make Wealthy Affiliate worth paying for.

Level 2

Along with a focus on traffic, you’ll learn how to do the following:

  • Getting your website ready for the search engines, such as Google
  • Creating keyword-rich content that will get ranked on the first page of Google
  • Understand how to apply the “low-hanging fruit” method for keyword research
  • Writing out content in the most effective way
  • Where you can find a large number of low-competition keywords

This level of training goes over much more in-depth about those topics, and it’s worth diving into.

Level 3

By level 3, that’s where the “make money” component comes into play. It’s not until this level that you will learn how to properly monetize your website.

Along with that, you’ll find products in your niche and learn how to sign up for affiliate programs and affiliate networks. That’s where you’ll learn how to promote them with ease.

Level 4

At this level, you’ll already have a website filled with content and ready for monetization. But you will learn how to leverage social media to share your content, along with growing your followers.

This level is a basic overview of setting up accounts and simple tips for engaging and sharing content on social media. There are individual lessons on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Level 5

In the final lesson, you’ll learn long-term strategies for creating content and planning for the long term.

Planning for the long run is crucial for ultimate success, so these lessons will go over how to do that accordingly.

Additionally, you’ll learn about outsourcing and other ways to accelerate your content schedule. I believe these are great to keep in mind as you plan out your online business.

Baking a cake (Similar to owning a bakery)

When it comes to the core training at WA, it’s similar to baking a cake. Allow me to elaborate on this analogy:

Level 1 of the training (the first five lessons are free) is where you make the frosting. That’s nice to have, but what’s the point of the training without the cake?

Levels 2-5 of the training are where you learn how to bake a cake. If you want to make a cake, you have to take the proper steps to make it happen.

You can also think of it as running your own bakery. The only difference is your business is online and you can scale it if you take the right course of action.

Should I switch to premium at Wealthy Affiliate? The training at Wealthy Affiliate is like running a bakery- only online.

The analogy that Kyle, one of the co-founders of WA, is a great one to keep in mind.

In the final lesson of level one, he compares the free starter training as the “bread” and the premium membership to the “peanut butter and jelly”.

Whatever analogy you think makes more sense, I hope you get the point when it comes to the WA training.

That is where the real learning and dirty work begins in the training. Understanding the basic steps it takes to start an online business is at the heart of the lessons to follow.

Why upgrade to premium?

WA offers so much more than you think. If you break down the pricing, the daily cost of premium membership is less than a small cup of coffee.

Think about that for a moment. Are you willing to ditch that coffee in exchange for learning valuable skills today?

Do you think that’s affordable? That’s up to you to decide on the value.

Should I switch to premium at Wealthy Affiliate? Wealthy Affiliate costs less than a cup of coffee every day.

Upgrading to either $49 a month or $497 every year is a very sweet deal.

With WA being the most cost-efficient in the industry, you’re not going to get pricing like this one anywhere else.

With a free starter account, there are limits such as not getting access to the full training. Not having that training and additional support on your side can make it harder to succeed in online business.

If you want to get direct support and learn more about growing an online business, your best bet is to upgrade to a premium membership.

In the following lessons, there’s a lot more to learn along with making the most of your time.

Are you concerned about whether Wealthy Affiliate is right for you? Is it worth investing in yourself, and building a successful business?

Final Words

Making the switch over to Wealthy Affiliate premium is the best choice to make. It was the best decision I made early on when starting out.

If I was satisfied with the platform, I’m confident you will like what you get when signing up.

If you have a free starter account, be sure to upgrade to continue moving through the next levels of the training.

If you’re part of the Wealthy Affiliate platform, consider signing up for a free account and giving it a test drive. If you like what you see, then consider upgrading to get your online business on a roll.

Your Turn: Will you make the switch to premium?

I would like to get your thoughts on this topic. Are you considering whether to make the move to WA premium?

What might be holding you back from upgrading? Is it because of the quality of the training, or could it be not the best fit for you?

Do you like the basic training covered as a free starter member? Do you believe it’s worth switching to premium to get your business to the next level?

  1. Very informative article you have Eric.

Breaking down the 5 levels of training and what one actually can expect to gain from each one was done well. I for one that like you, agree the upgrade to premium is well worth the price.

Without upgrading you ae not afforded the valuable extra training that is vital to success.

People are always looking for ‘free’ items in life, and although they are out there. The real information has to be invested in with either your time by searching it out yourself, or investing in another person or business to do the leg work for you.

Wealthy Affiliate will provide the leg work and resources, but one has to make the investment into them for that return.

I’m 100% satisfied with my premium membership and recommend those serious about building an online business upgrade themselves.

    James.

    • Hello James,

Those are some excellent points you made, especially when it comes to upgrading to premium.

I believe you can offer “free” items for a short period of time; but after awhile, you’ll need to invest more time and money into using a product or service.

So you make a great point on that, and something people need to consider when upgrading. It can help them make a good decision in the long-run.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts- they’re greatly appreciated.

  2. This is a great overview of the benefits of a Wealthy Affiliate Premium Membership.  It took me a long while to switch.

It would have been nice to have an article like this.  People are concerned about the cost.

If they have done the free program and learned and enjoyed it, based on your article, they should switch.

Your analogy of baking a cake is perfect.  Through WA premium we add one ingredient after another, based on the WA recipe, and end up with an online business.

    Fantastic!!!

    • Hi Anastazja,

Yes, the benefits of a Wealthy Affiliate premium membership are well worth it. By going through the free starter plan, the intention is to eventually upgrade to reap the full benefits of having a premium membership.

That’s the ultimate goal- to eventually build a successful, long-term online business. The cake analogy is very simple to understand, so it’s easy for others to go through.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts- they’re greatly appreciated.
