When I first started out, I was not convinced whether I should invest in a platform called Wealthy Affiliate. Fast forward to today, and I believe it was a wise choice to go forward with it. If you’re wondering if it’s right for you, is Wealthy Affiliate worth the price?
Wealthy Affiliate (WA) is worth it because you get more than simple training in affiliate marketing.

What really stands out about Wealthy Affiliate?
The best part is that the price of their premium membership has not gone up.
Except for adjusting for inflation, their price remains the same as when they first started out as a keyword list service.
For example, their original price is $359.88. But adjusted for inflation, that comes to around $549.15 (which is a fair price today).
Not many platforms keep their prices around the same or include things such as web hosting or 24/7 around-the-clock support.
In this article, I’ll do a deep dive into the pricing of the WA premium membership.
More specifically, I will lay out the premium membership, which is the most used one.
Also, I will discuss some of the benefits along with the costs of not upgrading to the premium level.

Is Wealthy Affiliate worth the price?
Yes, because you get much more than the basic training Wealthy Affiliate offers. You get unlimited support (community and tech support), state-of-the-art web hosting, and additional platforms such as Jaaxy, their built-in keyword research tool.
Wealthy Affiliate is the most cost-effective choice in the internet marketing industry. Unlike most platforms, the costs of their services have not spiked.
Adjusting for inflation (from $359.88/year to $549.15/year, their prices remain unchanged since they launched in 2005.

What is the Wealthy Affiliate premium membership?
The premium membership at WA is the first tier-level membership to use on the platform.
Once you upgrade, you will have access to courses 2-5 of the core training: Online Entrepreneur Certification (OEC) and Affiliate Bootcamp.
You get premium web hosting and the pro version of Jaaxy, the keyword research tool inside WA.
With Jaaxy pro, you can get more keyword searches.
Regarding websites, you can have up to three websites on your account, which is plenty for a beginner.
For someone just starting out, one website is enough for getting a niche website rolling.
As mentioned earlier, you have 24/7 support whenever you need help. With live chat, you can ask members for help with your website or anything related to online business.
Also, Site Support is another great feature. If you have any technical issues (i.e. website is down), that’s where the support team comes in to take care of those issues.
That is needed whenever you have tech issues related to your website.
What else comes with a premium membership?
Some of the other features that come with a premium membership include the following:
With access to private messages (PM), you can message anyone on the platform.
You even get one-on-one help from Kyle and Carson, the co-founders of WA.
Additionally, if you sign up here or anywhere on this website, you will get individual support from me.
So feel free to shoot me a PM, and I’ll be sure to get back to you in a timely manner.
Weekly expert classes (52+ a year)
One of the best features of the premium membership is you can access one live expert class every week.
These classes are taught by Jay Neill, a long-time member of the platform.
Jay is a stellar pro in affiliate marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) in general.
He provides some of the best practices to apply when it comes to building out niche websites.
The topics will vary, ranging from keyword research, Google Analytics, Pinterest growth, email marketing, and much more.
In my experience, these classes are pure value and full of gold nuggets.
Along with that, there may be bonus classes taught by Jay and Kyle (i.e. Ask Me Anything sessions). So they’re definitely worth checking out.
14-day case study: From research to profits
If you want to get an idea of what Jay’s classes are like, might I suggest you watch an excellent series on building a niche website? It’s called, “Research To Profits Step-by-Step: 14-Day Live Case Study.”
Jay goes from start to finish on creating a niche website in 14 days (which is possible sometimes). I
f you sign up today and start watching the series, you will get a 14-day premium plus free trial.
So you can watch this premium-level series absolutely for free, and see how a niche website is built from the bottom up.
It’s well worth watching and I highly recommend checking it out.
What are the benefits of a Wealthy Affiliate premium membership?
The biggest benefits of a WA premium membership include:
120 + core training lessons
These lessons are combined from the OEC and Affiliate Bootcamp training.
They help set a proper foundation for building a niche-focused website, whether it’s in the make money online (MMO) niche or any other niche.
Help and support are available 24/7
WA is a large community of online entrepreneurs. Whether you’re brand new, a novice, or someone who’s been around for a long time.
There are people who have been on the platform for more than 15 years while building successful online businesses.
Through WordPress, you can build beautiful, easy-to-use websites. T
here are more than 4000 website designs to choose from, which gives you plenty of options for a nice-looking website.
Hosting is necessary for maintaining and securing a website.
Along with that, site speed is crucial as well. The reason is that a slow website can mean a slow business.
In that case, a slow website will take longer to grow, or even have no growth at all.
So you want to make sure the site speed is fast so that the end user will have a great experience.
How much does it cost to join Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate costs range from 0-$399/month. The following are the costs for each tier-level membership:
- Premium Plus (with a dedicated server)- $399/month (or $3990 annually)
- Premium Plus- $99/month (or $697 annually)
- Premium- $49/month (or $497 annually)
What are the downsides of not signing up (or not upgrading)?
First off, there’s nothing wrong with not upgrading to a premium membership. But, it will be challenging and take more time to do it on your own.
Here are a few scenarios that could happen if you passed on a WA premium membership:
Figure it out on your own
Sure, you can stick with a free starter account at WA. But that will come with limited access and support, which means you can be missing out on more training or opportunities to network with like-minded individuals.
If you go outside of WA, you can search for articles online.
Or you can watch random videos on YouTube all day long.
Those are all fine, but there’s so much you can learn all in one setting.
If you end up going down this rabbit hole, you may find yourself not getting the right information or feel overwhelmed.
Also, if you seek out free resources, it may mean you’re getting limited information.
In that case, it may not be the best way to get started in an online business.
Go to other platforms (or try other programs)
Sure, you can try out another platform or course available.
The problem is it may be expensive, and you might be doing things that are the best for beginners.
For example, ClickFunnels costs $147/month for a basic plan (or $1524/year) to use their software. Although their software may help some people, it’s still a lot for building landing pages that may not convert well.
Not only that, you could be paying extra outside one of these platforms.
For example, you may have to seek out things such as web hosting and a keyword research tool.
All of these are provided at WA and are included with one of their tier memberships.
Whereas you could be paying far less at WA, you certainly will pay much more if you have to seek these resources yourself.
In other words, you will be paying more to invest and run your online business.
Either you’ll spend more time growing a business, or you’ll have to spend money to get a big return back.
Sticking to a WA premium membership looks like a viable option.
When you compare it with other courses out there, you’re getting the best bang for your money and time.
You can count on WA to build an awesome, fast-loading niche website.
How much does it cost to join Wealthy Affiliate?
The costs to have one of their tier-level memberships can range between $49-$399/month.
But taking out the higher tier levels, let’s focus on the premium members only.
The premium level costs $49/month (or $497 yearly- annual payment).
Going on a monthly option is fine, but I believe it’s better to opt for the yearly one.
Why is that?
Sure, it’s one payment of $497, but it’ll cost you far less than going monthly.
Paying $497 a year comes out to the equivalent of $41.42/month.
So you would be saving around $91/year. To break it down further, that only comes to just $1.36 a day.
Think about it: That’s less than a small cup of coffee at Dunkin, which costs on average $2.50.
So it costs more to buy a coffee at Dunkin than it is to have access to WA premium for a day.
I don’t know about you, but it makes me go bunkers and drives me crazy.
So is it worth passing on buying coffee for something better?
If you were to cut out some of your discretionary spending, WA premium is very affordable.
Basically, you’re getting more for less when you leverage the WA platform.
Breaking it down
Now that we’ve broken it down further, why wouldn’t you opt to go all in on premium yearly?
If you’re looking to upgrade from your free starter account (or want the basics to the platform), opting for premium is the best step for your online business.
If you’re ready to go premium, check out the video (and post) that Kyle put together. It’s time to level up your business today.
Or if you rather stick to it on a month-by-month basis, you can sign up for the monthly option.
WA offers so much more than just training materials for online business.
With a premium level (or higher), you have more resources available to succeed.
The platform has improved and gotten much better over time.
Compared to five years ago, they provide a lot to their members.
Based on the breakdown of their costs, anyone can afford to go premium.
As mentioned earlier, is it worth skipping that latte or coffee you buy every single day?
Take the time to invest in yourself while getting your business to the next level.
You’ll be glad you did. Just think- One day, you can thank yourself for what you did in the past.
